My life was a tangle,
A pile of yarn.
It seemed almost empty,
A deserted barn.
Then I looked upward,
At the roof of the barn,
And saw a spider spinning,
A beautiful yarn.
It was so pretty,
So wonderfully made,
And to think that a spider
So intricately laid
This beautiful sight
Inside my barn,
That I might see it
Glittering in the light.
Then I looked outside
Into the world,
And saw my future,
A life unfurled.
I saw much beauty
As I looked outside,
So I stepped away
From my past life,
And started anew -
A brand new life.
