My Beloved

My beloved fills me with joy and contentment
Whenever he is around.
And memories fill me with longing for his return
When he is gone, even knowing
He will soon be with me again.

Wrapped in his loving hug
I mold myself against his body
Feeling his warmth
Feeling secure in his arms.

My beloved is kind and gentle
Caring and sharing with me
His dreams, his wants, his needs.

My beloved is part of me now
Two souls joined together in harmony.

We walk together now, down the path of life.
