Questions

Have you ever felt lost and needed a friend,
not knowing where to go?

Have you ever had to make a decision,
not knowing whether to go by heart or mind?

It's hard sometimes, deciding what to do -
with advantages and disadvantages
both equally important.

What are we to do when faced with a decision
affecting our life in way other people don't understand?

Why is it that people don't accept the new
or different aspects in other ways of thinking or living?

Why is it that the younger generation
calls the older generation old-fashioned?
They don't look within, they rarely accept the different.

Why don't people understand the questions
many youths have to ask?

Why don't people search within their hearts and minds
to see the inner yearnings and understandings of life?

Or if they do search, and understand,
why do they not talk about it?

Is it forbidden to share these questions?
I think not.
I think people are afraid of themselves and the thoughts
and feelings they don't understand within themselves.

Why do they keep it hidden?
Why don't they bring it out and share it,
to be solved and understood by others,
who in turn could share and exchange their thoughts
to be puzzled over and solved.

Who do people tease and torment their peers
and colleagues who think or act differently?
Do they scorn or hate them -
or do they really envy them?

Or....are they just afraid of something
they don't understand?

Why are people afraid of things they don't understand?
Why aren't they curious?
Why don't they want to learn about the new or different?

People need to be understanding.
They need to learn about the new and different
facets of life and mind.

Think it over -
and search for an answer -
look within.

And maybe, sometime, somehow, somewhere
deep in your thoughts, you'll find the answer
to questions unasked.
