To a person who has helped me much,
one I have grown to trust -
someone who has helped me grow
into a person that others like to know.
You have helped me feel more secure
instead of shy and not-so-sure.
You are there when I need to talk,
And you pick me up and help me walk.
You have faced many problems with me
instead of turning away,
yet we have our differences.
There are some things we do and say,
that seem to stand in the way,
of what we are trying to do
and wound our hearts, very true.
I love you much, I hope you understand,
I missed you when you were gone.
I thought with grief at what I had done,
and wondered if I made a wound too deep,
to ever have you back again.
I am glad that you still love me so,
for I need someone to who I can go
if I need to talk a problem out
or just need comfort when in doubt.
You have helped me to laugh
and I have found new meanings in life.
You give me something to look forward to,
and my goals and dreams a new outlook.
I’m glad to have you back you see,
because I made a big mistake.
I’ll learn to talk my problems out,
and we’ll get along better that way.
